Key Accountabilities for the General Manager

  1. Plant Operation Improvements 
    1. improvements to weekly key stat report
    2. improvements to productivity results by department / individuals
  2. Safety Management – ensure 100% compliance with all OSHA and company rules and requirements
  3. Resolution of Plant\Customer Issues – measured by 100% customer retention and same day customer contact
  4. Route Supervisory Oversight – measured by vehicle downtime, RSR Preventable special deliveries, timely completion of “visitation packets” and contract renewals
  5. Preventative Maintenance Oversight – measured by production downtime caused by PM failure or “2nd time” fixes
  6. Oversight of Office & Route Accounting – measured by immediate resolution of issues identified by RSRs or Customers, thorough evaluation of cause and prescribing corrective action
  7. Inventory Management of Linen & Production Supplies – maintain and adjust the required shelf levels to support our 2-day ahead production schedule standard
  8. Management of Outside Contractors – measured by timeliness of opportunity completion and adherence to budget. (as needed)

ADMINISTRATIVE OPPORTUNITIES

Program Coordinator-

SUMMARY:

Manages a wide variety of programs, services and events to promote understanding of cancer, chronic blood disorders and treatments; must be able to offer emotional support and facilitate financial assistance to family members.  Represents the organization in the community and raises awareness of its services with medical professionals, family members and the general public.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program and Event Management:

·         Responsible for end to end program and event management including site selection and preparation, menu selection, invoice review, arranging speakers and entertainers, creating and issuing invitations, drives event publicity, purchases commemorative gifts, arranges transportation, etc.

·         Plans, organizes, and continually evaluates various programs/events designed to meet the needs of family members.  This includes annual, monthly and weekly programs.

·         Distributes donated items as appropriate, prepares support packages for new families, maintains extensive email databases, creates and analyzes program evaluations.  Continually monitors program effectiveness, and makes recommendations to modify, discontinue or create programs.

·         Attends events/fundraisers to benefit organization both monetarily and through goodwill.

·         Maintains GiftWorks (donor and family database) including (but not limited to) adding new releases, periodically creating mailing lists for events and fundraisers and updating status changes.

·         The Program Coordinator will be the key staff member responsible for the planning and execution of ALL these projects. Programs may be added at the discretion of the Executive Director.

 

Administrative:

·         Publishes monthly electronic newsletter including article research, writing and editing articles, inserting graphics and photos.  Produces other communication pieces such as welcome letters to new families, email notifications and reminders, birthday remembrances, organizational literature, event invitations and publicity, etc.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, communications, or public relations required.  Event planning experience strongly preferred.  The ability to facilitate meetings and events, speak in front of groups, represent the organization in a professional manner at public functions, and communicate sensitively and patiently to family members, is essential.  Must possess proficiency with word processing software and have the ability to write and produce communication pieces.  Experience with database software highly desirable.
